My gardening career started off as a garden project coordinator working with college students with learning disabilities. Fast forward 20 years of living and working in Derbyshire, and I’ve had the pleasure of working with plants and people in education, care settings and private gardens. Through this time I’ve designed a variety of gardens - from sensory, colourful and full of flowers, to accessible, edible, and gardens for pottering and entertaining in. I particularly enjoy designing gardens that look good all year round.
I love helping people to connect to plants and nature through gardens, and enjoy thinking about design solutions, and being creative to fit in with customers’ specifications. Yours might be to create a pretty bee and butterfly attracting border, maximising a small space to perform several functions, or renovating and redesigning a tired garden. You can rely on me to help to transform your ideas into reality.
I’ve studied at Otley College of Agriculture and Horticulture, Thrive (gardening for health charity), and the University of East Anglia.
